Methylene Blue is most commonly used dye required for staining blood smears for detection of presence of grams negative of grams positive bacteria. It is one of the most common coloring agents that are used during giemsa staining procedure. This dye is generally used by dissolving in distilled water to prepare diluted solution. It is known to provide beautiful and clear appearance of microorganisms present in sample under microscope.
